Job Readiness Training

Job Readiness Training is FREE to County residents ages 15-19. The training mimics the workplace, and is a safe environment where young people can demonstrate their proficiency and readiness for work. The curriculum supports the development of skills such as communication, customer service, and teamwork. Youth who successfully complete the program will receive placement preference in the Prince George’s County Youth@Work/SYEP.

Youth that have completed the Job Readiness Program are encouraged to enroll in the Career Pathways Program. Eligible youth receive training in one of 14 leading career fields.

The Job Readiness Training is a valuable resource for our County’s youth. Listen to the testimony from past participants and see the classroom in action.

All seats for Job Readiness Training Courses are full. Youth are still encouraged to apply for a position.
